Employing a cross-sectional design within a community setting, a study was conducted with 318 mothers whose children ranged in age from 6 to 23 months across seven randomly chosen wards. A systematic random sampling procedure was implemented to choose the appropriate number of respondents. Pre-tested semi-structured questionnaires were used in the collection of the data.
